1 Hack Succeesful People Got Down Pat

Hugely successful people aren’t that different from you and I. Sure, they have things we all strive for like financial stability, but at the end of the day, they are human, just like you and I. What’s different then, is not something inherent in them, but something that can be learned. It’s a technique — a skill that we can master.

One of the most fundamental and important ones, is the one I’m about to describe here. It’s not some secret, black box that takes 10.000 hours to learn. It’s simple.

But you might have to un-learn some stuff in the course of changing your mindset.

The hack is this:

Every situation — good and bad — is an opportunity.

At around 5:30 in the evening on Dec. 10, 1914, Thomas Edison’s plant exploded. Several fire departments responded, but it was too late. The plant — full of chemicals of all kinds — was deteriorating rapidly in a glorious fire.

Instead of getting upset like a normal person, Edison responded by telling his son “Go get your mother and all her friends. They’ll never see a fire like this again.” When
