I can appreciate that.

However, I don’t think that persuasion and power are necessarily linked. I do believe however, that they are distant cousins. And people are definitely more likely to be persuaded by someone if they hold power over you as per Cialdini’s Influence.

I will argue though, that there is more to it than what meets the eye. Coming up with illustrative examples is half the battle.
