We are all looking for ways to get better. Sometimes it’s the same thing you’ve heard over and over, but it’s presented in a new way, that somehow resonates with you.

These five sentences are my take on how we can put the ideas of influence, personal development and lessons from real life into practical applications, that makes us better people and helps us achieve better results.

I hope you’ll enjoy them — without further ado:

1. My biggest strength is…

If there’s one thing you need to know above all others, it’s what your biggest strength is.

Once you know what your biggest strength is, you’ll be able to find a job that caters to that strength, and will reward you handsomely for doing it well.

Maybe you’re an intensely detail oriented person, with a flair for numbers. Or maybe — if you’re less cliche-y than the example I could think of — you have one or two skills that you can do really well.

Warren Buffett for instance has made a point of repeating the fact that if he had been born in a previous century where security analysis was not as highly rewarded as it is today, he wouldn’t be nearly as successful as is the case.
